Bandjoun: Award winning journalist condemns apologetic public use of local languages, pidgin

Elite One Championship 2022: YOSA wins, PWD draws from 5star perfomances on Match Day Three

By Bakah Derick  North West flag bearers in the ongoing Elite One championship in Cameroon have ended  with four of the possible six points on match day three despite putting up five star performances in their respective games.  At the Japoma stadium near Douala, Coach Nkabyo Martin and his men held Racing of Bafoussam to a manly "duel" for all 90mins of play. Bamenda Regional Hospital: Rare disease Smashed in a Record-Setting Surgery

By Colbert Gwain The eyes of the medical world turned to Bamenda last March 14, 2022, when a dedicated team of daring medical doctors defied all odds and successfully operated upon 11-year-old Success Mongwa, bugged down at  birth by an unknown disease that caused his abdomen to swell, abnormally. Sources close to the Bamenda Regional Hospital hinted that Yaounde had originally wanted Success Mongwa to be referred to the nation's capital for proper medical attention. Bamenda III Council: New Market goes operational

The inaugural ceremony of the income generation facility  took place on Saturday 26 March 2022.  The market from a front view Mayor Fongu Cletus Tanwe on behalf of the council has indicated that the market will not only be for livestock but also for other items which he said is people centered and has been long over due. This has been amplified by the number of people who showed up for the inaugural.   "You can actually see that the people of this area needed the market. Though we call it a livestock market, it is a market for all goods." Elite One Championship 2022: Defender Ngwan Brian creates surprise as attacker in PWD's win against Fovu

By Bakah Derick The two teams representing the North West in the ongoing Elite One championship have clinched all six points of their two games during day two of matches played on Wednesday 23 March 2022.  While PWD social football club of Bamenda over powered Fovu of Baham 2-0 at the Mbouda Municipal Arena, Yong Sports Academy (YOSA) humbled Astre of Douala 1-0 at the Douala-Bepanda reunification annex  stadium.  Despite heavy rains in Mbouda that stopped play for sometime, Pagou David's men, put up an unmatched resistance against the Baham men.  Nyaba Brian 50" and Aboubakar Mohamed 80" caused the damage for the Abakwa Boys as they kept their 1-0 loss on day one against Bamboutos of Mbouda behind them.  Tegemo Emmanuel made things happen for YOSA in Douala at the close of the fixture. FECAFOOT Election Rerun: Sports Journalist, two others to battle GA delegate post

By Bakah Derick  The Electoral Commission of the Cameroon Football Federation (FECAFOOT) has made public the list of candidates for the positions of regional league presidents and regional league delegates to the federal general assembly to take part in the partial election rerun of November and December 2021.  The list published at night fall on Tuesday 22 March 2022 concerns the North West and seven other regions in the country.  According to the list by Magistrate Schlick Gilbert the electoral committee president and his colleagues, three candidates have fulfilled the required conditions to contest for the position.
