Nukwi Ne Abubte: Mankon is Ready

The Coordinating Committee of the Official Homage and Celebration of the immediate past Fon of Mankon His Royal Highness Fo Angwafo III S.A.N traditionally known as Nukwi Ne Abubte has declared the Fondom  ready for the event. The readiness of the palace and Mankon in general was made public during a press conference on Tuesday 14 December 2022 in the palace. 

According to Joseph Mumbari, Chairperson of the the committee, all necessary dispositions have been taken to make sure that sons and daughters as well as friends of Mankon have an opportunity to celebrate the great legacy of Fo Angwafo III who ruled Mankon for 63 years. 
The elaborate program which will will run from the 15 of December 2022 to the 15 of January 2023 will kickoff with an official event this Thursday at the Mankon Palace esplanade as early as 6am with the Minang-do dance performed by princes and princesses ahead of the official Homage involving the state. 

Cultural animation and dances of the royal family and the Mankon diaspora shall then take the stage from the 16 to the 22 of December 2022. 
The disclosed peogramme also details that a Christmas for Christians will take place at the palace esplanade on the 25 and cultural animations exhibition, visits from friendly villages will go from there till the 15 of January 2023. 

Throughout this period, digging of the soil has been prohibited anywhere in Mankon however, some harvesting can be done. 
The road to the palace has been rehabilitated, while the old grand stand has been refurbished and a new one constructed. The entire Mankon Palace has been given new a face-lift to ensure people find comfort during the month long celebration. 

Business especially restaurants, beer palours, traditional dress makers have taken necessary dispositions to serve all those visiting  by stocking as much as possible. 
At the time we left the palace, canopies, chairs, sound systems, television equipment were being installed.
