Bamenda Archdiocese: Archbishop fetes 30th Marriage anniversary of non Catholic, Journalist Choves Loh

The Archbishop of Bamenda on Sunday 27 February 2022 took many by surprise as he celebrated Holy Mass to mark the 30th marriage anniversary of a non Roman Catholic. The Potifical Holy Mass was said at the Regina Pacis Mission Station Church, Ndamukong Street-Nkwen Bamenda Where family, colleagues and friends had gathered to make the day special for the respected journalist Choves Loh and wife.

Though a faithful and dedicated Christian of the Cameroon Baptist Convention (CBC), the Regional bureau chief of the state owned bilingual daily newspaper Cameroon Tribune and printing services (SOPECAM), decided to marry a Roman Catholic faithful as wife some 30years back. 
"There is no Catholic church in heaven. Heaven is about God's chrstian children and His Grace Archbishop Andrew Nkea said it too well that faith is not an impediment to love." Choves said

According to the successful and  long time serving leader of the Cameroon Association of English Speaking Journalists (CAMASEJ) with an impressive knowledge of Catholic doctrine, the Bishop can celebrate Holy Mass for anyone

"The Almighty does not recognize barriers mounted by man in the name of church denominations.  Even as a non Catholic,  I know that once the Bishop's time table permits he can celebrate Mass for any commoner who  needs it." Choves noted

The happily married father and grandfather used the anniversary to celebrate the woman with whom he has spent 30 years and more together considering the Archbishop, leader of the local Chuch in Bamenda as the best Religious leader  to do so. 
"...I went for him to celebrate my wife, a faithful Catholic, loving and  and caring mother of our children. We are indeed, honoured that the Archbishop did not only accept to celebrate our Thanksgiving Mass, but used a  non Catholic to   enlighten  Catholics that it is possible." He added

Chirstians of the Mission used the Archbishop's visit for the anniversary to celebrate someone they consider as true shepherd of God's flock in Bamenda. Also on hand to welcome the Archbishop was the parish priest of All Saints Parish Bayelle Rev Fr Zuzeko Valentin
