Nkwen Fondom: Royal Tournament flags off Saturday in Douala

By Bakah Derick  A football tournament for Nkwen sons and daughters based in Cameroon's economic capital is expected to flag off this Saturday 13 August 2022. Health Technology: Youth 2 Youth Launches Mobile App to Improve Sexual, Reproductive Health

Nkwen Fondom: Fon Azehfor III receives warm welcome, graduates many to 'adulthood' in Yaoundé

Cameroon Journalists' Trade Union: New Executive meets Labour Minister

Culture: History of the Nkwen People Documented in "Nkwenberee"

By Bakah Derick  News of the documentation of the history of Nkwen people in Mezam Division North West Region of Cameroon is already making rounds in the Fondom. According to sources close to the Nkwen Palace, a Book authored by the Second Adviser to the Fon of Nkwen Muma Azeh is expected to see the light of day before the month of July 2022 runs out. The Book according to the author traces the routes of the Nkwen people to pre-colonial times.  “Since the existence of Bafreng (German appellation for Nkwen), its history has remained largely Oral than Written. Efforts to assemble facts about the village met with little success as contrary views were presented by the interviewees. At the reception of the land mark translation on Thursday 30 June 2022, His Royal Majesty Fon AGAFOR III called on his kindred to do everything possible to maintain the Bambui Language.  His Royal Highness Fon AGAFOR III FON of Bambui receiving a copy of the translated version of the book of Luke While being thankful to the Almighty God for the landmark achievement, the Monarch stressed that by translating the Book of Luke into the language of birth of the people of Bambui, God has been brought closer to the people of his Fondom. “We cannot do anything even developmental without our God taking the lead.
