Health Technology: Youth 2 Youth Launches Mobile App to Improve Sexual, Reproductive Health

The social media space has been enriched with a mobile application that will henceforth serve as a guide to young people in reproductive health and sex education.

This follows the launch of an internet application, Nang Health, an initiative of Youth 2 Youth, a non governmental youth based organisation in the North West region of Cameroon

The launching ceremony that took place Saturday August 6, 2022 in Bamenda brought together youths from all segments of the society 


"Nang Health, is going to henceforth  enable Young people to have access to comprehensive sexuality education from the comfort of their mobile phones." Said Dr Jacqueline Fonkwo, director of Youth 2 Youth, piloting the project.

"We are going to have information that is youth friendly, accurate for their health, culturally sensitive, the opportunity to interact with healthcare providers through video and audio calls and text messages free of charge." Dr Fonkwo added.

Exploiting digitalism as a means to engage with Young people, Youth 2 Youth also sees it as a means of direction to acces health care 
"We recognized the usage of digital space as one of the best ways to reach out to a vast number of youths" Dr Fonkwo went further stressing that, "Through NANG mobile app, they will also have easy access to pharmacies or health facilities based on where they live.".


Nang is a mobile health solution that serves as a tool to provide sexual and reproductive health (SRH) information and improve access to SRH services among youth in Cameroon. The app was co-designed with youth in Cameroon and provide services including sexual and reproductive health (SRH) education, free telehealth consultations with a medical doctor, and geolocation services to locate a health facility near you.

The Application can be downloaded for use from Google Play and App Store, according to the initiators.
