Hilltopvoices has opened nominations for the 2025 Bamenda III Twenty Five Most Influential Personalities, marking the start of a programme that has become a key reference point for community leadership since its launch in 2023. The call invites the public to put forward individuals whose work has strengthened everyday life in the Bamenda III municipality and demonstrated a clear commitment to service.
The programme carries a reflective mood following the deaths of two former laureates whose work left a deep mark on the region. Mformi Ndzerem Stephen Njodzeka, who died in January, served as Director of Strategic Humanitarian Services SHUMAS Cameroon. He is remembered for a legacy rooted in community development, rural transformation and steady support for thousands of households. His contributions remain visible in school blocks, health centres and livelihood projects that continue to serve communities.
The second tribute goes to Waindim Timothy Ntam, late General Manager of NWCA Ltd, who died in November. His leadership strengthened one of the region’s most important cooperative structures, supporting coffee farmers through transparent management and sustained market access. His approach to cooperative values and community welfare earned him wide respect.
Hilltopvoices says their legacy will guide the tone of the 2025 edition, encouraging nominations that reflect resilience, integrity and practical service. The list will spotlight people who show leadership that is felt in homes, neighbourhoods and local institutions.
Nominations are open to the public, institutions and community groups till January 25, 2025. Hilltopvoices will publish the final twenty five with detailed profiles early next year. The organisation says the project is a reminder that true influence grows from service and that Bamenda III moves forward when its leaders stand with the people they serve.
