The first semi final brings together two teams that already know each other well.
Tipper Park FC of Nchang and Sporting FC Bayelle-Manda met during the Pool A group stage, with Sporting winning 2–1.
They meet again with considerably more at stake.
Tipper Park reached the semi finals after edging Olympic FC of Teken 1–0 in the quarter finals, extending a campaign built around competitive, closely fought matches.
They finished second in Pool A with five points, recording one victory, two draws and one defeat. Their seven goals scored and six conceded reflected a team that has rarely been far away from its opponents.
That ability to remain in games could prove crucial against Sporting FC.Sporting have been the team to beat
Sporting arrive with arguably the strongest overall record in Pool A.
They won all four group matches, collecting 12 points, scoring 10 goals and conceding four.
Their quarter final against Sunday Sharp FC, however, was their first major test of knockout football.
Tipper Park FC of Nchang
The match ended 1–1, and with rain affecting the conditions and time becoming a consideration, the teams went directly to penalties.
Sporting eventually won 3–2, securing their semi final place but also exposing a side that can be pushed when the pressure rises.
That experience could be valuable against Tipper Park.
A second meeting with everything at stake
The 2–1 group stage victory of Sporting gives them the psychological advantage, but Tipper Park have since shown that they are capable of surviving knockout pressure.
The two teams have followed contrasting routes.
Sporting have relied on consistency and an unbeaten record.
Sporting FC Bayelle-Manda
Tipper Park have relied on endurance.
The semi final could therefore come down to whether Sporting can reproduce the attacking efficiency that made them dominant in the group stage or whether Tipper Park can drag the match into another tight contest where a single goal could determine everything.
Tipper Park have already demonstrated that they can keep opponents close. Sporting have demonstrated that they know how to win.
Now they meet again.
One previous result favours Sporting. One semi final stands between both teams and the 2026 final.
