The Tiaranga Lions have opened their Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament with a win against the warriors of Zimbabwe .
Playing at the Kouekong Stadium in the outskirts of Bafoussam, the Senegalese faced shift opposition from Zimbabwe all through the first half and a large part of the second.
Several offensives from.the Senegalese paid of with a penalty that was converted by their supper star Sadio in additional time.
The Liverpool striker ended the fixture as man of the match.
Senegal will face off with the Republic of Guinea on January 14, 2021.
