COVID-19: Nkwen sons and daughters Launch prevention Campaign

Press Release

Nkwen-Bamenda

Monday April 13, 2020

Concerned Nkwen sons and daughters at home and abroad will this week begin the distribution of hand washing facilities, face masks and hand sanitisers across the village. The distribution of these items to the residents of all the quarters in Nkwen is part of efforts by the concerned to prevent the deadly coronavirus pandemic from claiming a life in the village.

According to some of the project committee members who conceived the innitiative, their experiences while working in the countries ravaged by COVID-19 either as medical personnel or in other related fields prompted the decision to unite forces financially and materially with their brothers and sisters back home to fight against the pandemic.

Apart from the distribution of the above mentioned  items, a sensitisation Caravan will be on the field to educate the Nkwen community and residents on the use of the items and the need for social distancing.

The items it should be noted, have been aquired from services related with the ministry of public health and others locally made to meet the standards of the World Health Organisation WHO. This project is sponsored by the Sons and Daughters of Nkwen and executed by the Nkwen Elites Common Initiative Group (NECIG)
