Paul Biya 39 years in Power: CPDM reclaims territory as recommended by Prime Minister

The leader of the Cameroon People's Democratic Movement for the North West Region has led a rare march in Bamenda by militants of his party in recent times. Yang Philemon was in Bamenda on Saturday 6 November 2021 to celebrate the 39 anniversary of President Paul Biya as head of state.
Launched in Bamenda, the city is no doubt home to the ruling Cameroon People's Democratic Movement (CPDM).
During his recent visit to Bamenda, the Prime Minister and Head of government, Chief Dr Joseph Dion Ngute called on people in the North West Region regain their territory and intergrity by retaining to their normal activities. The CPDM turnout for the anniversary at the Bamenda Congress was the first time in almost four years. Their march on the commercial avenue almost the first in about the same time is no doubt a regain of territory.
After what can be described as a successful celebration at the Bamenda Congress hall, the former Prime Minister humbly pleaded with his militants to wall the street to the grandstand as a show love for party and pride of belonging. The appeal was accepted and in their numbers, the CPDM diehards walked from the Congress hall till the grandstand where the PM expressed his satisfaction with the turnout and support for the party despite the trying times.
In his characteristic realistic and emphatic style, he stayed true to himself maintaining that the party reorganisation was over and now was time for reconciliation for future wins for the party in future. He condemned school boycotts, killings, kidnappings and all forms of civil disobedience and maintained his position of a United and prosperous Cameroon.

Earlier speakers praised President Paul Biya for recognising and involving women and youth in positions of leadership in the country.

Through Hon Nji Fidelis, the North West CPDM family expressed their support for President Paul Biya with a call for him to run for elections in 2025.
