Her appointment places a seasoned peacebuilder and communications expert at the forefront of efforts to strengthen engagement among Rotary Peace Fellows across Africa while promoting collaboration, knowledge sharing and advocacy on peace and conflict prevention.
A Rotary Peace Fellow with an extensive background in peace and conflict transformation, public relations and journalism, Roseline Obah has built a career that spans media, advocacy, leadership development and conflict transformation. Her work has contributed significantly to peacebuilding, social transformation and sustainable development initiatives across Africa and beyond.
Over the years, she has occupied senior communications, advocacy and management positions in several organisations, leading regional and international programmes aimed at promoting dialogue, inclusion, institutional strengthening and lasting peace.
The former President of the Bamenda Chapter of the Cameroon Association of English Speaking Journalists is widely recognised for training thousands of journalists, youth leaders, civil society actors and community stakeholders in peace journalism, nonviolent communication and conflict transformation.
According to RPFAAA, her appointment is expected to strengthen the association's capacity to foster collaboration, amplify impact and create new opportunities for Rotary peacebuilders across Africa.
The newly appointed coordinator has expressed appreciation to the outgoing RPFAAA leadership team for its service and dedication to strengthening the association over the years.
They acknowledged key achievements recorded under the previous leadership, including increased alumni engagement, expansion of networks across Africa, stronger collaboration among Rotary Peace Fellows and enhanced visibility for the association within the broader peacebuilding community.
"The foundation laid by the outgoing leadership provides a strong platform upon which we can continue building a more connected, vibrant and impactful peacebuilding community across Africa," the coordinators said in a joint statement.

Speaking on her appointment, Rosaline Obah pledged to prioritise stronger communication and deeper engagement among members while highlighting the achievements of Rotary Peace Fellows across the continent.
"I am excited to serve alongside an exceptional team of peacebuilders committed to advancing Rotary's vision of peace," she said.
"Our priority will be to strengthen communication, increase engagement among alumni, showcase the remarkable work of Rotary Peace Fellows, and create platforms for collaboration and learning. I extend heartfelt appreciation to the outgoing leadership whose commitment, sacrifice and achievements have helped shape RPFAAA into a respected and growing network across Africa."
The new leadership team will be responsible for strengthening engagement among alumni, expanding membership participation, promoting mentorship and professional development, coordinating regional initiatives and partnerships, and supporting advocacy efforts aimed at advancing peace, dialogue and social cohesion.
