Former FECAFOOT Secretary General Banlock Benjamin Appointed Coordinator of Cameroon's Indomitable Lions

In a significant development for Cameroonian football, the Minister of Sports and Physical Education has announced the appointment of Banlock Benjamin as the Coordinator of the Senior National Team of Cameroon, the Indomitable Lions. 

This decision was made on Tuesday, April 2, 2024, following the directives of the President of the Republic. The newly appointed technical, administrative, and medical staff for the national team includes a mix of local and international expertise.

Belgian national Mare BRYS has been named as the Head Coach, with Joachim MUNUNGA and Giannis XILOURIS serving as his assistants. François OMAM BIYICK and Cyprian BESSONG have been appointed as assistant coaches, while ALIOUM BOUKAR will take charge as the goalkeeper coach. Christophe MANOUVRIER will serve as the team's fitness coach, with Pr. NGATCHOU DJOMO William as the team doctor.
New Lions New Indomitable Lions Coach 

Banlock Benjamin's appointment as the Coordinator of the Indomitable Lions is expected to bring a wealth of experience and leadership to the team. The football manager resigned as Secretary General of the Cameroon Football Federation (FECAFOOT) in May 2022 as a result of managerial disagreements with the current leadership of the football governing body. 

Alongside him, Hervé MVENG will serve as the Deputy Coordinator, while Dany NOUNKEU will take on the role of Team Manager. Germain ESSENGUE has been appointed as the Team Press Officer, and Didier Alphonsea LOBE KELE will serve as the Liaison Officer.

The appointment of Banlock Benjamin and the rest of the coaching and support staff signals a new era for the Indomitable Lions as they prepare for upcoming international competitions.
