Voice of Women Engages in Networking Event Promoting Gender Equality, Conservation

The Blue Pearl Hotel in Bamenda III Nkwen, North West Region, was abuzz with energy on the 23rd of March, 2024, as civil society organizations, eco-businesses, traditional authorities, and various stakeholders gathered for a networking event organized by Bamenda based not-for-profit non-governmental Cameroon Gender and Environment Watch (CAMGEW). The event had as main objective to inspire and accelerate positive change in gender equality towards conservation outcomes, fostering a platform for collaboration and innovation.

Voice of Women, an organization focused on empowering women and promoting cultural and environmental sustainability, actively participated in the event. They used the opportunity to share their insights and experiences during a panel discussion, highlighting their efforts in preparing girls for responsible womanhood, promoting cultural care for the environment, and offering advice to young girls.

The event featured project pitch presentations, exhibitions of eco-friendly products, and vibrant cultural dances, creating an environment for learning and exchange. 

Through this networking event, Voice of Women has been encouraged to revitalize their cultural knowledge, embrace creativity and innovation in promoting eco-friendly practices, and work towards a sustainable future. 

Voice of Women through a Facebook post has  expressed gratitude to #CAMGEW for hosting such a meaningful and engaging event, emphasizing the importance of collaboration and collective action in driving positive change in gender equality and conservation efforts.
