Elite One Championship 2020/2021: Third day Snapshots

The Elite One Professional championship in Cameroon is in it's third day of play. A majority of the matches played have produced uncommon surprises. Here is our snapshot from around Cameroon.

Elite One Professional championship

The Yaounde Ahmadou Ahidjo stadium was host to two matches. First was Colombe FC of Dja et Lobo and Tonnierre Kalara Club TKC that settled for a virgin tie despite several attempts on goal by both sides. The presence of three CHAN 2020 players ( Ebanda, Man Ykre and Mani) did not facilitate the task for Colombe FC.

Canon FC got their second win of the championship after humbling Yong Sports Academy (YOSA) FC 2-1. The resilent YOSA FC equalised before the close of first half but their former employee Moukete will return to seal a win for KpaKum.

Panthere du Nde showed comfort at home infront of a dreaded Cotonsport of Garoua. The Bangante team stayed focused infront of a towering Garoua based team clinching all three points with an emphatic 3-2 win.

The Bamenzi Stadium like Mfandena was host to two high profile games. An aesthetically pleasing Yaounde II FC failed to finalise their spectacular play infront of a very stable home side Fovu of Baham. With a 1-0 win, Fovu gave her fans a reason to end the weekend in a festive mode.

The inability of Bamboutos of Mbouda to score yet concede three times at home was the surprise of the day. Stade Renard of Melong was too good for the Mangwa boys.

At the Douala Bepanda annex reunification stdium, Astre of Douala and APEJES of Mfou settled for a goalless draw. Both sides showed plenty of quality but their goal post custodians were good enough to maintain  stainless nets.

The victory hungry Eding failed to avoid conceding a goal against Djiko FC of Bandjoun despite scoring twice. The contest at the Melong Municipal stadium ended two goals on either sides.

The fixture pitting New Stars and UMS has not been played just like that between Dragon and PWD of Bamenda though with defferent circumstances.
