The Indomitable Lions with 10pts keep a three points lead away from second placed blue Sharks. The Cape Verdian blue Sharks skiped the Amavubis Stars of Rwanda after replying authoritatively to a 14th minute goal by Pierre Kunde M. for Cameroon.

At half-time, the scoreline stood at 1-1 on either sides but a rejuvenated Cape Verde side literally took Cameroon unaware hitting goalkeeper Fabrice Ondoa's net on two occasions.

During the post match press conference, Indomitable Lions Coach Antonio Concecao blamed the the windy nature of Praia.

"My team failed to adapt to the windy nature of Praia and we conceded two fast goals. The lessons have been learnt, our objective is to finish on top of the group, we are still leading and we'll do all to beat Rwanda in Douala and finish 1st." He told Katch Sports
