An extraordinary traditional ruler with strong personal convictions. Enthroned on Monday 18th November 2013, this graduate of the University of Buea and Teacher in training is calm, pragmatic and people oriented.
Apart from taking a strong political stand as a Cameroonian and human being with his own rights, HM Fon Azehfor III is one Fon who believes in the potentials of his people. This has been demonstrated in a few areas beginning with the creation of a Traditional Council made up of Nkwen sons and daughters with outstanding potentials and professions. These professionals are grouped in committees with specific terms of reference for the development of the Fondom.
 The Nkwen Water Scheme

His determination to extend and re-enforce the Nkwen Water Scheme has been his major success this far. To have decided to begin the project in the first place is worth appreciating. It is his believe in the potentials of his people that caused him to begin the project. He told a crowd gathered in his Palace Saturday April 4, 2015 that "this project has come this far thanks to support received from all of you particularly some of our sons and daughters based in and without the country" While calling some names, the Fon announced that in the next two weeks the new Water Scheme from Ndzah will soon be launched for consumption.
According to the Monarch, Paul Biya the President of the Republic cannot as an individual make Cameroon an emergent country; "we all must participate in our own small way". Fon Azehfor III believes that with the current Water crisis facing Bamenda, The Nkwen Water Scheme can be a solution. As reported earlier on this blog, quarters turnout en mass to participate in the digging of the pipelines a show of love by a people to their leader.
The Fon and His People
The Fon Retires
The love shown by Nkwen people to their Fon also speaks volumes. On several occasions from his coronation and many others have witnessed a massive turnout of the people. Recently at the Bamenda Congress Hall where he showed up to donate in support of soldiers fighting the Boko Haram insurgency in the North of Cameroon, hundreds of Nkwen people followed their Fon. It was the same Saturday April 4, 2015 at Blue Pearl  Hotel Bamenda Where his efforts in the management of the Nkwen Water Scheme was Celebrated by The Watchdog Tribune one of Cameroon's English Newspapers.
Administration
Ndi and Muma Azehfor III
The Fon has two deputies; Ndi Azehfor III and Muma Azehfor III. Their collaboration is glaring.
This collaboration with the Kwifor and Palace institutions has been a solution to many land disputes in his Fondom. His protective character has also been noticed in the fight for the protection of Nkwen boarders. As it stands he is determined to get a clear
er view of his boundary with neighbours like Bafut, Bamendakwe and Bambui particularly when it concerns the area hosting the former Tubah Council premises.
A Celebration of The Nkwen Water Scheme
The restructuring of the Fondom is also another issue that we cannot end without mentioning. From the Palace and its institutions then the Fondom as a whole there has been total restructuring including Quarter Heads and their functions.
Much can be said including his drive for quality education and development but we will end here for now believing that the almighty will accompany his efforts.

WE WISH YOU WELL MBEH!!! LONG LIVE THE KING
