Mr. Yong Francis, the Media Promoter

The liberalization of the media sector by the Cameroon Government in 1990 gave many who so desired the opportunity to create and own private media organs in Cameroon. At this time Mr. Yong Francis was considering the success of a school in his native home town Ayajua that is KCHS Ayajua which saw the light of day in 1991. Ten years later in 2002 alongside the creation of National Polytechnic Bamenda , Mr. Yong Francis decided to join the few who had started private radio and Television stations in Cameroon to create ABAKWA FM RADIO. To him the radio was destined to serve as an accompanying tool for the professionalization of journalism students from NPB. The coming to being of the radio was further facilitated by his decision to collaborate with the Bambili Teachers Training College (ENS) which had expressed the wish to use the radio for the building of the communication skills of its students. Ivo Chi Contrary to many in his age group, Cameroonian born IVO Chi does not want to be seen as a football player but as a football developer. Mr Yong Francis on a receptive mode Interpersonal relation has proven to be an indispensable asset in every successful business endeavor especially like education, sports and media whose success depends on a wide range of individuals cutting across generations. Being a man from humble beginnings Mr. Yong Francis did not limit his relationship to his employees nor his type. He understood that there are still many others wallowing in poverty where he was nearly half a century ago. With a clear cut understanding of the relationship between education and success, Mr. Yong Francis established a perfect universal relationship with everyone including the have and have not’s through an avalanche of schools.   Even though he placed at the head of these institutions professionals for efficient management, Mr. Yong Francis build a firm fatherly relationship with his students. Throughout the year almost on daily basis stories of Mr. Yong paying fee for students especially for the underpriv
