By Ndimbe Usmanu Wheat production stood tall amongst the many resolutions arrived at during the 53rd North West Development Authority (MIDENO) Board of Directors' meeting of July 7, 2022. MIDENO 53rd meeting opening event  This organisation that is charged with transforming the socioeconomic environment in the North West Region was encouraged during the conclave by its Board to venture into wheat production. "The Board encourage MIDENO to venture into the production of wheat," governor Lele Lafrique board Chairman of the structure in his concluding remarks revealed. Wheat production in the North West Region pundits say is a good decision that shall come a long way to boast local flour production in a bid to fight scarcity and combat price hikes that has been scaling new heights as a result of the war in Ukraine.
