Meeting also focuses on funeral coordination as board visits bereaved family

The Board of Directors of the North West Cooperative Association, NWCA Ltd held an Extra Ordinary Session in Bamenda on Wednesday 10 December 2025 to address urgent leadership and administrative matters following the death of the General Manager, Waindim Timothy Ntam.

Chairing the session, the President of the Board, Bayo Peter Ndikwa, said the meeting had become necessary to ensure stability and continuity in the organisation after what he described as a painful and unexpected loss. He stressed that Waindim Timothy’s death on 20 November in Douala left a deep void in the cooperative movement, noting that his leadership had shaped the progress NWCA enjoyed in recent years.

In his opening remarks, Peter Ndikwa paid tribute to the late General Manager’s dedication, reforms and commitment to farmers across the region. He said Waindim had guided the cooperative through critical phases of transformation and left behind a legacy that would continue to influence NWCA’s work.

The meeting reviewed immediate organisational needs and outlined measures to guarantee uninterrupted operations. Discussions also centred on funeral arrangements, with the board agreeing to work closely with the family to coordinate plans for a dignified farewell.

At the close of deliberations, the board members moved to the residence of the late General Manager, where they met his family. The visit offered an opportunity for the board to express sympathy, share memories of Waindim’s work and assure the family of NWCA’s continued support during the difficult period.

The Extra Ordinary Session marked the first official gathering of the board since the passing of Waindim Timothy Ntam, whose contributions remain widely recognised within the cooperative sector.
