AFCON 2021: Group E underdogs Sierra Leone begin in style against giants Algeria

By Bakah Derick

All two opening matches for group E teams in the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations campaign (AFCON) 2021 based in Douala have opened their tournament participation with draws.
Considered underdogs, Sierra Leone began by surprisingly holding reigning champions Algeria to a virgin draw.
The draw almost singled handedly fought for my goalkeeper Mohammed Kamara has been described as a major upset. The Leone Stars are returning to the tournament after 26years of absence.
The Desert Foxes will face Equatorial Guinea in their next game on Sunday 16 January 2022.
