AFCON 2021: Nigeria holds down Moh Sallah's Egypt

The super eagles have opened their Africa Cup of Nations (2021) account with an emphatic victory against the Pharoahs. 
Full of spectacle and determination as expected, Nigeria made use of an appropriate to break the deadlock just the fisrt half break. 

Iheanacho Kelechi's left foot volley put Nigeria up at the 30 minute. 

Though possession, passes and pass accuracy went the way of Mohammed Sallah and team mates, Nigeria got the essential three points of the fixture. 
The goal scorer will also emerge man of the match. 

With three titles won from all their Africa Cup of Nations campaigns, the super eagles were able to over Egypt with seven titles being highest in the competition.
The second game in Garoua, ended in a virgin draw between Sudan and Guinea Bissau as Sudanese goalkeeper emerged man of the man following a spectacular penalty save. 
The eagles will face Sudan on Saturday 15 January 2022 in Garoua while Egypt takes on Guinea Bissau.
