Ramadan 2021: Bafut-Tubah MP Agho Oliver communes with Muslim Community.

The Member of Parliament for Bafut/Tubah constituency has reached out to Muslims in Bambui and Sabga, all in Tubah subdivision as they continue to observe the Ramadan fasting. Hon Oliver Agho Tuesday May 4 handed to them stuffs needed to accompany them in the religious ritual.

At the Bambui mosque, he handed six bags of rice, two cartoons of soap, three cartoons of sugar and buckets.

In Sabga, Muslims gathered at the Lamidat to welcome the MP. Delivering a brief welcome address, the Lamido of Sabga Umaru Babuga expressed joy and wished the MP well.

 

Taking the rostrum, Hon Agho congratulated the Muslim community for their peaceful engagement. “Congratulations for taking the side of peace. There is no development without peace. Keep praying for peace in our country" he said.

 

"You stood against the burning of schools in Sabga. Count on me and forget about those mad boys who want to destroy", he added.

Before leaving, he handed to them eleven blankets, three cartoons of soap, fourteen bags of rice, ten cartoons of sugar and buckets. School going pupils were also happy recipients of the sum of 130,000frs cash while Muslim took home the sum of 100,000frs CFA.

 

The MP was flanked during the visit by his alternate Akonga Helen, Awunti Ghedung, Member of the North West Regional House of Assembly and Councillor Gaddafi, deputy mayor of Tubah Council.
