Under her mandate, the new Editor-in-Chief will supervise editorial operations, approve major content before broadcast, guide reporters and presenters through coaching, and design programming strategies to grow listenership. She is also expected to deepen partnerships with civil society organisations, donors and community stakeholders while reporting to the station manager and board.

Reacting to the promotion, Carrey said the new responsibility reflects lessons drawn from years of juggling broadcasting, communication consultancy and family life, adding that the role affirms her belief in purposeful storytelling and service to the community.
