The Centre for Advocacy in Gender Equality and Action for Development (CAGEAD), in partnership with the German International Cooperation (GIZ), convened council, development, and religious leaders on Wednesday, 5 November 2025, to advance women’s leadership and community resilience under the project “building resilience and inclusive local institutions and empowering local women leaders for UNSCR 1325 in municipalities.”

Participants at the session

Held in Bamenda, the meeting brought together representatives from the Bamenda III and Tubah councils, alongside leaders of local development associations and faith-based groups. Participants were briefed on the project’s objectives, activities, and expected outcomes, with particular attention to identifying and mobilising grassroots beneficiaries.

Coordinated by the Chief Executive Officer of CAGEAD, Andiensa Clotilda Waah, the session aimed to strengthen collaboration between municipal authorities and community actors in promoting women’s participation in decision-making and peacebuilding.
