The General Manager of Cameroon Telecommunications (CAMTEL) and Head of the CPDM Campaign Delegation for the Americas, Judith Yah Sunday Achidi, has called on Cameroonians in Brazil to reaffirm their loyalty and commitment to President Paul Biya, describing him as the steady hand guiding Cameroon toward unity, peace, and prosperity.
Judith Yah Sunday Achidi addressing militantsAddressing party supporters and sympathisers in Brasilia ahead of the 12 October presidential election, Yah Sunday praised the community’s steadfastness and enduring faith in the ruling Cameroon People’s Democratic Movement (CPDM).
“Making our beloved country, Cameroon, a united, peaceful, modern and prosperous nation is the sacred mission to which President Paul Biya has tirelessly devoted himself since assuming the highest office,” she declared, to loud applause from attendees.
The CAMTEL boss highlighted the achievements of the Biya administration, particularly in infrastructure development, education, health, and the energy sector. She cited the Nachtigal hydroelectric dam, the ongoing construction of transport networks, and the expansion of training programmes for youth and women as evidence of tangible progress.
Reassuring the diaspora community of the government’s continued attention to their concerns, Yah Sunday pledged more efforts to promote youth employment, women’s empowerment, and entrepreneurship.
“We shall continue, with steady and determined steps, our march toward progress. I invite you to join us in continuing this great journey building the united, prosperous, democratic and stable Cameroon we all dream of,” she affirmed.
She also saluted President Biya’s leadership in maintaining national security, noting that Cameroon’s defence forces have made “undeniable gains” in the fight against terrorism and organised crime.
The meeting in Brasilia formed part of the CPDM’s broader campaign outreach to Cameroonians abroad, rallying them to turn out in large numbers to support President Biya’s bid for another term in office.
