The presidential candidate of the Social Democratic Front (SDF), Joshua Osih, has acknowledged the outcome of the October 12, 2025 presidential election, pledging full respect for the sovereign will of the Cameroonian people.

In a statement issued on 14 October 2025, Joshua Osih expressed “profound gratitude” to supporters who worked over the past three years to promote an alternative vision for Cameroon. While noting that the results were not in his favour, he affirmed that “the people have spoken, and the verdict of the ballot box is clear.”

The SDF candidate said any observed irregularities and instances of fraud will be submitted to the Constitutional Council, but stressed that “the stability of our nation and the preservation of peace must always come first.”

Joshua Osih reiterated his commitment to democratic principles, saying he will congratulate the winner once final results are proclaimed. He called for the victory to be “placed at the service of the ordinary Cameroonian men and women who simply aspire to live with dignity, to work, and to prosper.”

He concluded with a unifying message: “Beyond parties and candidates, it is Cameroon that must emerge victorious from this election.”
