Cameroon Party for National Reconciliation (PCRN) presidential candidate Cabral Libii has urged Cameroonians to remain calm and vigilant as vote counting continues across the country following Sunday’s presidential election.

In a statement issued in Yaoundé and received by Hilltopvoices via Cameroon Tribune, Cabral Libii cautioned against premature or unofficial election results being circulated on social media, describing them as “invalid” and aimed at sowing confusion.

“After an impressive election campaign led by PCRN teams throughout the national territory and in the diaspora, on October 12, 2025, the sovereign people spoke at the polls,” the statement read.

“While the internal sub-committee in charge of collecting minutes continues its work, Cameroonians are invited to be cautious about the results circulating on social networks, which currently have no validity. Patience is required until the compilation work is completed by the sub-committee established for this purpose, as well as until the end of the sessions of the Departmental and National Vote Count Commissions in which all candidates are represented.” it added

The PCRN leader called on the public to reject what he termed a “rush maintained by the addicts of manipulation and division that infest social networks.”

Cabral Libii, who campaigned on a platform of national reconciliation and youth inclusion, emphasised that the official tallying process must run its course under the supervision of competent electoral bodies before any results are deemed legitimate.

The Constitutional Council, as stipulated by Cameroon’s Electoral Code, has up to fifteen days from polling day to proclaim the official results of the presidential election.
