Presidential candidate for PURS, Serge Espoir Matomba has called for calm and patience as the nation awaits the official proclamation of results from Sunday’s presidential election.
In a statement received by Hilltopvoices, Matomba said his campaign team is currently compiling reports from their representatives deployed across the country, using official results sheets from polling stations as their primary source of data.
“Our teams are working to compile the results of the October 12, 2025 election. This work is based on the minutes we are gradually receiving from our representatives deployed at various polling stations across the country.” he said.
Matomba reaffirmed his commitment to peace and transparency, noting that his party will respect the final verdict as announced by the competent authorities.
“While this compilation work is being done, we want to assure that we are waiting with serenity and responsibility for the proclamation of the results by the official source... Whatever the outcome of this process, we will align ourselves with the majority of voices expressed by the Cameroonian people.” he stated.

He also expressed gratitude to his supporters and partners for what he described as “exemplary mobilisation and renewed confidence,” underscoring his party’s dedication to democratic values.
“Our commitment to democracy, transparency, and peace remains unshakable,” the statement concluded.
The Electoral Code provides that the Constitutional Council has up to fifteen days to proclaim official results of the presidential election.
