Speaking to the press ahead of the team's tournament opener, Hilltop Strikers FC trainer Ngwa Remy stated their readiness for the fixture. According to the gaffer, his team has been working extremely hard to give the region another elite two ticket. Appreciating the support and love received from the supporters and fans, Ngwa Remy has expressed his intentions not to disappoint them.
Team captain Rodrigue Kimbi who accompanied the coach for the press conference considers their early arrival in Limbe as a clear indication of their ambition. The Bamendakwe team has spent a week ahead of the start of the competition in the sea side resort town. They have had the opportunity to observe their opponent in their first outing. These are elements the captain considers advantageous.

Exempted on day one in Pool A, Hilltop Strikers FC is facing AS Olympique de Meiganga that has started the competition but are yet to taste a victory. Their day one 2-2 draw against North Regional representative National FC only made them a complicated opponent as they come against Hilltop Strikers FC in search for their first victory.

Both moral, material and financial support is reportedly reaching team Hilltop Strikers FC in camp with the team official acknowledging 50.000FCFA from Foncha Street FC Bamenda and water from Henry Njala Quan Jnr promoter of Njalla Quan Sports Academy Limbe and Vice president of the Cameroon Football Federation (FECAFOOT)

It is the first time Hilltop Strikers FC of Bamendakwe is making it to the National Interpools. They are however going with Ngwa Remy as coach who led Rainbow FC of Bamenda to the campaign in 2018. Though without success, the lessons learned and the support received from multiple interpools winning coach Anumewah Franklin could be a strong driving force.
