Women's Football Championship 2022: Vision Sport FC set to begin campaign in Yaounde

The lone women's football division one side in the North West Region Vision Sport FC Bamenda will  start her campaign for the 2022 season in Yaounde on Wednesday 20 April against Eclair FC. According to fixtures recently made public by the Women's football league, the match will be played at the Omnisport annex one stadium in Yaounde from 1:30pm.

Sources close to the team have disclosed to www.hilltopvoices.com that the team has arrived the nation's capital and everyone is in good form and healthy ahead of their league opener. The team is expected to have a training session in Yaounde this Tuesday ahead of Wednesday's clash with one of the best women's football teams in the country. 

Speaking during a press conference in Bamenda on Thursday 14 April 2022, team coach Kuaban Festus made clear his intentions to finish the season amongst the best three teams in the country. 
"i just want to win any of the top 3 prizes this season and why not highest goal scorer and best player; year before last we ended 8th, last year we were 6th on the official ranking. We won't finish 4th this season" He told Mnews237

In a bid to meet his target, the Coach confirmed the recruitment of some new players during the presser. 

"We have gone to work with the 12 new recruits, trying to right the wrongs and challenges of last season. It's going to be very competitive season and we want to win more than the fair-play prize we backed home last year for discipline" Kuaban Festus added

According to team captain Forsuh Cassandra,  she is ready just like her teammates for the season's challenge. She has expressed gratitude to Cameroon Football authorities for coming to the aid of  players by ensuring that they earn a significantly increased monthly wage. This she added will boast the "spirit of sportsmanship in women." 
Vision Sport FC Bamenda has been the flag bearer for the North West  in the Women's top tier for four years now. 

The team like many other teams trains in the dusty or muddy pitches in the city especially the St Paul Comprehensive High School field in Nkwen.
