On Monday 13 December 2021, Samuel Eto'o Fils was at the football association (FA) headquarters  for a familarisation meeting with the staff. He later visited his institution's technical center in Odza outskirts of Yaounde, then met the country representative for UNESCO in Yaounde before ending the day at the Ministry of sports and physical education.
"I am sure you followed his (Samuel Eto'o) iterinary on the first day in office. I am sure you also noted the timing and places he went to. You can already see that this is a man on mission. He knows how strategic his actions must be and how to go about them. I am proud of Samuel. As I talk to you, he is working to instill discipline especially on timing at the federation. Some staff have been locked out because they came to work after 8am... That is the leader our football needs." Ivo affirmed

Initially aspirant for the post of FECAFOOT President, Ivo Chi abandoned his ambitions the same day Samuel Eto'o announced his candidature. He returned to Cameroon in November leaving all his international engagements to join the Samuel Eto'o Fils campaign team that worked day and night to ensure victory.

Unlike many would expect, Chi Ivo didn't get into the executive committee.

"Yes I didn't get into the executive committee. That was not the target. The target was for Eto'o Fils to be President.  Those who are in the board and the executive committee are individuals who have proven that they can be taken serious. It must not be me. I remain a committed supporter of Samuel and my objective is to see him succeed. We all have a duty to support our leader to succeed and we must not do so by being in positions. Already I have a lot to handle for the growth of football in my region which is the North West and my agency and career. I remain resolute to making sure he gets unrivaled results in Cameroon." Ivo concluded.

The celebrated player argent has described Samuel Eto'o as a brand that anyone who wishes well for Cameroon Football should feel proud to associate with and work for the success of the beautiful game.
