Elite One Championship 2020/2021: PWD's Ngwan Brian out of danger after chest kick

The team media officer of PWD social club of Bamenda has confirmed to Hilltopvoices that his team's right back defender Ngwan Brian is out of danger following a hard kick on his chest during their day 12 encounter with Yaounde II FC in Bamenda on Wednesday July 7, 2021.

"Ngwang Brian is ok now, after the shock he had on Sunday in the game against YAFOOT. Medical checks were carried out on him after the game, and his situation was not bad as initially thought." Afeseh Apong said 

The unsportsmanlike conduct  which temporarily stopped the game for over five minutes ended with YAFOOT's coach and player expelled with red cards. PWD fans showed dissatisfaction with attempts to jump into the field but were controlled by the club's administrators. YAFOOT players could  be seen apologising to PWD fans before game resumption.

The Intermediate Lion will miss their next game according to the team media officer. 

"He has been given some days off to fully recover, so will miss our game on Saturday against Fortuna in Yaoundé. However he was at the park this morning to see off his other teammates who are traveling for the game in Yaoundé." He concluded 

PWD played a 0-0 draw with YAFOOT as the Elite One Championship second round opened across the country.
