By Ngenwie Azeh S. Bafmeng United Football Academy (BUFA) has finished runner-up at the just ended 2023 National interpool in Yaoundé. The North West flag bearer was knocked off by ISOSHA of Limbe with a 2-0 score at the final on Sunday 30 July 2023. Goals by Albert Tiku 55’ and Babo Brandon 60’ and no reply from BUFA gave the South West representative at the interpools the goal medal. Prior to the final, both sides had clinched Elite Two championship tickets after seeing off their Semi-finals opponents. While regretting that the Ndeghum Spear lost the final, The North West Regional Football League in a Facebook post has congratulated ISOSHA for emerging champions of the national tourney. The league however notes that the main objective was about bringing home an Elite II ticket. BUFA qualified on Thursday 27 July 2023 after knocking out Volcan of Noun 2-1 during the Semi-finals. ISOSHA on their part qualified after beating Pouma FC 2-0.
