The Presbyterian Church in Cameroon (PCC) on Sunday 18 January 2026 instituted and inducted Rev. Ngongan Paul Anyam as Moderator’s Representative for the North West Region and Parish Pastor of PC Bamenda Station.

The service, originally scheduled for November 2025 but postponed for security reasons, was held at Bamenda Station in the presence of church leaders, civil authorities, traditional rulers and worshippers from across the region.
The Moderator of the PCC, the Rt. Rev. Miki Hans Abia in his message said the delay did not cancel God’s plan.
“God’s work may be delayed, but it can never be denied. God is not in a hurry, but He is always on time,” he said
He reminded the congregation that induction was not only about the minister.

Preaching from Mark’s Gospel, the Moderator’s message stressed that God often calls ordinary people for extraordinary tasks.
“God does not search for the already qualified. God equips and anoints those He calls,” he said, pointing to Jesus’ choice of fishermen as his first disciples.
Addressing Rev. Ngongan directly, he said “Leadership in the church is first and foremost service. This office is not a cap to wear; it is a call to humble service.” He urged him never to forget “who called you and what the mission is all about.”
Rev. Paul Ngongan, who has served in the PCC for about 25 years, was described as “a senior and seasoned minister” whose appointment “is the fruit of years of faithful and meritorious service.”

“Ministry is not a solo race. It is carried out by people who care, people who support and who work together in faith,” the Moderator said.
The ceremony drew the Governor of the North West Region, some traditional rulers, clergy, family members and well-wishers, marking what church leaders described as “a new season of service” for both Rev. Ngongan and PC Bamenda Station.
