Campaign Pulse 2025: Issa Tchiroma Bakary Rallies Youth in Mayo-Danay with Fresh Campaign Energy

The presidential candidate of the Cameroon National Salvation Front (FSNC), Issa Tchiroma Bakary, brought his campaign trail to Yagoua on Monday night, 29 September 2025, with a strong appeal to the youth, whom he described as the cornerstone of the nation’s future.

Speaking to a large crowd that had gathered to welcome him, Tchiroma declared: “In front of you, you don’t have Issa Tchiroma Bakary that you know. No! You have the people’s representative.” The FSNC leader positioned himself as the voice of ordinary Cameroonians, stressing that his candidacy represents their hopes for change and renewal ahead of the 12 October presidential election.

The Yagoua rally followed a lively procession earlier in the day, where the candidate engaged with supporters along National Road No. 12, from Kalfou through Kaélé in the Mayo-Kani division. The campaign stop turned into what observers described as a “crowd bath,” with residents lining the streets to cheer him on.

Tuesday, 30 September, saw yet another major campaign meeting in Yagoua, where the FSNC leader once again drew significant attendance, replicating the strong turnout witnessed in his previous stops. The event highlighted his growing support in Mayo-Danay, an area where youth mobilisation remains a decisive factor in the upcoming polls.

Issa Tchiroma, a veteran politician and former government minister, has in recent weeks shifted his campaign focus towards the younger generation, promising to create opportunities that will allow them to fully participate in Cameroon’s social, political, and economic life. His message of inclusivity and empowerment has resonated strongly in the Far North, where unemployment and underdevelopment remain pressing concerns.

With just under two weeks to election day, Issa Tchiroma Bakary continues to build momentum, banking on grassroots mobilisation and youthful energy to strengthen his FSNC bid.
