The Cameroon People’s Democratic Movement (CPDM) campaign in Nkambe Central Subdivision continues to gather momentum as Honourable Ta Nformi Barrister Ngala Gerard, Member of Parliament for Nkambe, the Mayor of Nkambe Musa Shey Nfor and others, move from one mobilisation front to another, reinforcing the ruling party’s message of continuity and peace.
Hon Ngala Gerard, Mayor Musa and others walking for campaigns in NakambeAfter a massive rally in Binka village earlier in the week, Hon. Ngala Gerard and the Nkambe campaign team stormed Binju, where they led two grand rallies in both Nkambe and Binju on Saturday. The mobilisation began with a symbolic walk from the Old Market to the Guarantee neighbourhood, where jubilant supporters lined the streets waving CPDM flags and chanting songs in praise of President Paul Biya.
According to the party leadership in Nkambe, there is no need to vote for anybody else. President Paul Biya has already begun fulfilling the promises he made to Nkambe, and they must give him another mandate to complete them.
Accompanied by Mayor Musa Shey Nfor of Nkambe, who also doubles as Deputy CPDM Campaign Manager for the Subdivision, Hon. Ngala Gerard reiterated the party’s message of development, stability and continuity under President Biya’s leadership.
Hon. Ngala addressing community membersHe called on the population to remain vigilant against fake news and misinformation being circulated online to discourage voter participation and undermine the credibility of the electoral process. This is a similar message he shared in Douala recently during a gathering he organised for the Anglophone community.
“Our people must not allow themselves to be deceived by falsehoods. The truth remains that peace and progress in Nkambe and beyond have been championed by President Paul Biya. Let us show our confidence in him once more at the ballot box,” he declared.
The MP praised the enthusiasm of the population and reaffirmed that the development path of Nkambe is linked to the stability that the CPDM government represents. From the tarring of the Ring Road and the construction of new schools to ongoing health infrastructure projects, he emphasised that President Biya’s leadership has delivered tangible results that must not be interrupted.
“This election is about choosing between progress and uncertainty. We know what we have under President Biya, and we are confident that more will come if we stand firm with him,” Hon. Ngala told supporters.
The rallies in Binju and Nkambe come as part of a broader grassroots mobilisation across Donga-Mantung Division aimed at consolidating CPDM’s traditional support base while countering growing online narratives about political fatigue and the need for generational change.
Why this message matters
The Nkambe campaign signals the ruling party’s deepening focus on grassroots mobilisation and information vigilance. By positioning itself as both a force for continuity and a defender against misinformation, the CPDM is not only selling a political message but also shaping voter perception in a region where the digital battle for minds has become as important as the rallies on the ground.
Campaign Pulse Insight
As the presidential campaigns enter their final stretch, Hon. Ngala Gerard’s strategy blends physical mobilisation with digital awareness. His insistence on fact-checking and vigilance against fake news reflects a growing understanding within the CPDM that in 2025, elections are won not only in the marketplace but also in the information space.
