Campaign Pulse 2025: CPDM campaign electrifies Nkwitang ahead of October 12 presidential election

Excitement swept through Nkwitang village on the outskirts of Ndu on Thursday afternoon, 9 October, as the campaign team of the Cameroon People’s Democratic Movement (CPDM) candidate stormed the community in a spirited mobilisation drive ahead of Sunday’s presidential election.

Led by the acting campaign head, Mayor Abdou Borno Kanfon, the delegation was warmly received by jubilant crowds who turned out in large numbers to welcome the team.

Addressing the gathering, Mayor Kanfon commended the people of Nkwitang who are predominantly members of the Bororo community  for their steadfast support to the CPDM over the years. He urged them to maintain their loyalty and demonstrate their commitment by turning out massively on polling day.

The come together, marked by exchanges and renewed pledges of support, reinforced the CPDM’s confidence in securing a strong showing in Ndu Subdivision. Local party organisers described the event as a clear sign of enthusiasm and determination among grassroots supporters ahead of the 12 October presidential showdown.

Residents of Nkwitang, in turn, promised to vote overwhelmingly for the ruling party’s candidate, citing the CPDM’s track record in promoting peace, inclusion and development in the area.

As campaign activities enter their final stretch, Nkwitang’s rousing display of solidarity has further energised the CPDM’s base in Donga-Mantung Division signalling a determined push to secure a resounding victory at the polls.
