Considering the many projects listed to have been realized by MIDENO in 2023 involving many individual beneficiaries which could be a fertilile ground for corruption especially during the selection process, the Director of Administration and Finance (DAF) Bawe Ernest explained that his institution has firm anti corruption policy by virtue of their approach to the award of contracts and assistance to farmers or any other beneficiary.

He pointed out the rigorous nature of the tenders board through which all contracts are awarded, the use of established farmer cooperatives and established stakeholders to reach farmers and other beneficiaries as ways to mitigate corruption within the system.

After presenting a catalog of achievements including road construction and rehabilitation, donation of improved seeds to farmers, donation of assistive devices to persons with disabilities and others, the Director of the Technical Department Ndeh Emmanuel noted that most of these projects were realized as a result of stakeholder engagement. He has promised that there will be an improvement in the area so as to enhance the realization of projects by MIDENO in 2024 considering the security situation of the region.
It emerged from the press conference that the institution's budget realization rate for 2023 stands at 75%. According to MIDENO's leadership, the remaining 25% comes from a co-financed project with the Ministry of public works that witnessed funding challenges.

The annual end of year press conference has become a regular activity for MIDENO for five years now since Cletus Anye Matoya took over management. He justifies his decision to hold the presser yearly as a way to be accountable to the population he is called to serve and to give visibility to government efforts in enhancing the development of the North West Region through his institution.
