Prophet Vicky Atanga: giving a new perspective to Church leadership

Born in Bamenda Cameroon, Prophet Vicky Atanga is President of Let There be Light Church in Cameroon. He has provided spiritual direction to members of the church with seat in Bamenda since creation until recent when he decided to give it a new perspective.

The Church Leader and Servant of God

Going by the directive of the one he serves; Jesus Christ when he said “Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven”, the pastor believes that in as much as his church members need the Word of God, it is important to work and be of service to humanity and as the leader, he has to be the light. It is within this frame work that Prophet Vicky Atanga has elected to set up several structures to finance his ministry and missionary activities.

Beginning with Big Dream Services, the church leader provided several job opportunities to young people in Bamenda working in his soft drink section, car wash and bakery. 

While expanding his ministry, the Man of God has of recent been into humanitarian services; assisting underprivileged persons in the country including those internally displaced by the undoing armed conflict. Since 2020, he has been spotted in different parts of the country handing over food items and non food items alike to those in need. 

The Real Estate Promoter 

At the close of 2022, the Church leader announced the creation of Vision Real Estate International. The company according to him is into contracts and supplies in any part of the country. With a carefully selected cream of top-notch professionals, Prophet Vicky Atanga believes that Vision Real Estate will standout in a sector infested with many people of doubtful character. He hopes to run his business putting his Master Jesus Christ first.

The Humanitarian and Philanthropist

To bring hope and fame to the downtrodden, Prophet Vicky Atanga now runs a charity organization christened Alpha Vision International with the slogan 'We are change makers.'

It is under this charity, that the leader of Let There be Light Church is organizing a multi-sport competition at the Bamenda Central Prison. The detainees are competing in football, volleyball, basket and handball. With finals expected to take place on March 3, 2023, Prophet Vicky Atanga believes that the sporting activities will occupy the prisoners distracting them from evil thoughts. He will also be using the competitions to share the "saving word of God" with the prisoners. 

Visit to Presbyterian Church Orphanage Akum 

The activities of the Church leader and his charity go beyond his Church. At the close of January 2023, he was in Akum where he visited the Presbyterian Church Orphanage. During his visit, he handed over cash, donated several bags of cement to support an ongoing construction project and food items for the children and their caregivers at the home for the  homeless. He shared some good moments with children and their caregivers singing and dancing.

The Health Services provider 
Workers at Vision Medical Diagnostic Center

Prophet Vicky Atanga is the Chief Executive Officer of Vision Medical Diagnostic Center created in 2022. Located in Bonaberi-Douala Cameroon's Economic capital, the health services facility is aimed at providing accessible healthcare services to the less privileged including those displaced from the English speaking regions of Cameroon by the ongoing armed conflict.

Apart from managing his church, real estate company, charity organization and health services facility, Prophet Vicky Atanga is a family head. He is married to Veronique Njotu Atanga who he describes as his support system. 

As the country celebrates the national youth day, Prophet Vicky Atanga will certainly not be a bad example to follow. His catch phrase for 2023 is "see you at the top."
