North West now has the first candidate to manefest interest for the office of President for the regional league of the Cameroon Football Federation (FECAFOOT). Neba George Shu made public his intention on the evening of Saturday 25/September 2021. In his declaration message, the National Interpools winning president of Rangers FC Bafut writes
"I have decided to officially declare my candidature to run as president of FECAFOOT North West Regional Bureau. I know this decision is coming at a time many least expected. My prime objective is to restructure Football in our region."
Neba George Shu has expressed concerns around the organisation of football in the refion which be believes he can fix if voted President.
"You will all bear with me that for the past three years our regional football has been a sham, not to talk of the desolation of the divisional Football leagues. In my 11 years of active participation in the promotion of football in this Region, I think this is the time for me to take over the baton of command for the interest of Football and footballers in the entire Region."
He has outline "detecting and Developing young talents, Putting in place of a competitive Youth Football League for the Region in all categories, putting up a competitive women's league, Organizing Trainings and Refresher Courses for Referees and match commissioners, Organizing pre-season/scouting Tournaments at all levels in the region, creating partnership deals for the region" amongst others as part of his action plan.
Neba George who is already circulating material with Samuel Eto'o fils is inviting his colleagues to "join forces for the interest of our most cherished game and flush out all dictators and detractors."
