Fight Against COVID-19: Eneo donates To Bafoussam III Council, St Dominique Catholic Medicalised Centre, Njunang

 

Eneo Cameroon S.A. has made a donation of sanitary equipment to the Bafoussam III Council and St Dominique Catholic Medicalised Centre, Njunang in the West region.

 


The donation consists of 5 Motor-pump sprayers, 5 buckets of 50 litres with cover and tap for washing of hands, and 50 bottles of hydro-alcoholic gel for hand disinfection for the Bafoussam III Council and 5 buckets of 50 litres with cover and tap for washing of hands, 50 bottles of hydro-alcoholic gel for hand disinfection and 100 surgical masks for St Dominique Catholic Medicalised Centre.

 

Speaking during the handing over ceremony at the Bafoussam III on October 22, 2020, the representative of the Director General of Eneo, Jacob Tchuisseu observed that the donation was in support of national efforts in the fight against the spread of the COVID19 pandemic as well as the prevention and management of other diseases.

 


He added that despite the particularly difficult economic environment which has been aggravated by COVID, Eneo has spared no effort to meet its expectations.

 

“As a producer and distributor of electricity, Eneo has fully asserted its role at the heart of the public health system, in support of the response plan put in place by the Government” he added.

 

This initiative by Eneo was saluted by the representative of the SDO of Mifi who thanked Eneo for supplementing through her social responsibility the efforts government have put place in the fight against COVID-19.

 

In his remarks, one of the beneficiaries, the Mayor of Bafoussam III thanked Eneo for thinking about them in this trying moments of the pandemic where they receive many inhabitants adding that the donation will go a long way supporting the efforts put by the council already.


 

The director of the St Dominique Catholic Medicalised Centre, Njunang, Sister Helene while lauding the initiative noted that it was a stich in time to boast their effort in the fight against the pandemic.

 

“We were already having difficulties getting surgical masks and hydro-alcoholic gel, thus the donation is timely in our efforts to fight the pandemic” she added.

 

As a producer and distributor of electricity, Eneo has fully played its role at the heart of the public health system, in support of the response plan put in place by the Government.

 

In order to effectively ensure the continuity of power supply, thier health and operational measures contributed to ensure the overall control of the spread of the pandemic within the company, especially in core business operations.

 

In order to protect staff and ensure continuity service to the public, they have strengthened their Contingency Management Plan for their Power Plants and Strategic Dams, as well as for all critical Electricity Distribution operations.
