Inclusive Development: CBCHS takes campaign to Far North Cameroon

Officials of the Empowerment and Disability Inclusive Development Program of the Cameroon Baptist Convention Heath Services CBCHS are in the far North Region of Cameroon in search for better avenues to promote values of disability inclusive development. The sensitization mission hopes to on board all disabilities stakeholders for the inclusion of children with disabilities in all development projects in that part of Cameroon.

A post on the Facebook page of the Cameroon Baptist Convention Heath Services indicated that the team has been to the City Council of Maroua . “Mrs Agho in her presentation convinced the Mayor & his team on the importance of mainstreaming disability in all council development actions. The Mayor welcomed a Tripatite MOU, between the Cameroon Baptist Convention Health Services, the City Council and Fondation Bethleem to facilitate the inclusion of Children, youths & adults with disabilities in all aspects of development. The Super Mayor, Dr. Sali Babani, praised the timeliness of the visit, which fits squarely in the council's social development plan. More in this blossoming collaboration in the upcoming months.”


Disability inclusive development has been a major part of CBCHS projects for many years in the North West, South West, West, Center and littoral regions of Cameroon with many Municipal administration accepting and signing MoUs to implement the ideas in their Council areas. . The institution hopes to conquer new territory in the North of the Country.
