This revelation was made during an orientation workshop organized on Thursday  September 19, 2019 at Blue Pearl Hotel, Bamenda with Radio Broadcasters and Social Media platform actors on communication approaches and content for mass sensitization on gender based violence and sexual reproductive healthcare.

During this workshop, some 35 media men and women drawn from community, business radios and bloggers from various divisions of the NW Region were made to see the urgency and importance of reporting GBV cases.

Considering the deteriorating situation in the war raging on in the North West and South West, there is urgent need for improving communication on GBV and SRH.

This action would help to curb, prevent and give adequate information to vulnerable persons, survivors and communities for life-saving interventions for GBV and SRH.

The pressmen and women came up with practical modalities to uphold the campaign and advocacy. They came up with calendars of events, inserting into GBV/ SRH cases on daily basis.

This shall run for three months, with meticulous follow-up.  Thereafter, an evaluation shall be carried out to get the low and highlights of the communication results on GBV and SRH.
