Bamenda Government Delegate celebrates outgone SG for work well done

The government delegate to the Bamenda City Council has showered the immediate past Secretary General SG Bobe Ntumfoin Jude Waindim with praises for outstanding services delivered the council during his tenure of office.
Vincent Nji Ndumu expressed his gratitude to the out gone SG Thursday June 27 during the official installation of Mbah-mbole Pius as the new Secretary General.


According to Vincent Nji Ndumu, the outgone SG who joined the Bamenda City Council ten years ago showed exceptional commitment to duty. From when he came in as a consultant to when he was appointed the city secretary general till his departure, Jude Waindim the government delegate observed has demonstrated unequelled dedication to work with a firm mastery of issues relating to staff management, speech writing and representation of BCC when assigned to do so. "I know that with your enormous talents, experience and intellect, you shall continue to serve the nation wherever you shall be called to render them. You however still remain part of us as your expertise shall always be sought here." The delegate said 




Commissioning 54 years old Mbah-Mbole Pius Ntumbo from Awing in Santa subdivision Mezam Division appointed on June 18 by a presidential degree  the delegate congratulated him on his appointment. According to the delegate, he has been a trainer of council staff at the Local Government Training Center CEFAM Buea and consequently should master council business and functioning. Vincent Nji Ndumun then challenged him to practice what he teaches which will help the incoming Secretary general ensure a warm reception for those in need of council services, create a good working environment in the city council, insure the legality of all documents prepared for the Government delegate as well proper representation of the institution when need arises. 



The father of four, holder of a masters degree and a rich career takes over the top function at the city council at the time Bamenda's economic life is limping. The Hygiene and sanitation of the city is deplorable with the cleaning company facing multiple challenges from belligerents in the ongoing armed conflict. He will be expected to take initiatives not only to improve revenue collection but also to improve on the hygiene and sanitation and the general disorder of the city especially in the commercial motorcycle sector and parking arrangements in town which hitherto were handled by parking meters which functioning has been greatly compromised by the armed conflict. He also comes at the time the implementation of the C2D projects expected to give a facelift to the city seems not to be taking off just. Water and electricity are epileptic in the town just like many other basic services like street lights. Though with an administrative function, the SG will be expected to assist the city delegate and other municipal mayors to seek a lasting solution to these challenges.
