The Multi-awards winning Journalists Comfort Mussa has received another award crowning her as a Gender Champion. According to The Guardian Post Achievement Award jury headed by Peterkings Manyong, Comfort has been championing  the fight against gender discrimination and violence against women and girls in Cameroon. Though not present in Ebolowa to receive her award due to health reasons, the women rights advocate took to her Facebook page as soon as she received her award stating “Last night in Ebolowa i was awarded "The Gender Champion Award” by TGP media group. This recognition reflects all the hard work that’s been put in by SisterSpeak237 family to create change over the past few years. It means much to me to be recognised for improving things for women in Cameroon, because it’s an incredibly complex challenge that we must solve. I couldn't be there in person to receive the award & trophy but I was well represented. Thank you TGP media group.”

Reacting to this reporter in Ebolowa on the award, Nestor Njodzefe Journalists/International Relation Expert and friend to Comfort Mussa said "Her award is well derseved and timely too especially as it comes at the heels of the international Women's Day. She is a household name in Cameroon when it comes gender mainstreaming. There is no way the history of the fight against gender discrimination in Cameroon can be written without her having a whole chapter on her own.  In a context where issues related to women are under reported, she has used her journalism skills and her sisterspeak platform to bring to the fore stories which are not always told in the media."

The blogger, activist and founder of the online platform Sisterspeak237 which handles women’s issues now works for CBM International a Christian development organization, committed to improving the quality of life of people with disabilities in the poorest communities of the world.

Prior to being crowned Gender Champion, due to her focus on women and youth, Comfort has travelled to several countries in the world winning awards such as 2011 Excellence in Epilepsy Journalism Award Winner in online Category for her article ‘Epilepsy Myths Promote Stigma, Prevent Care in Cameroon’ that appeared on the Global Press Institute website, CTA/NEPAD Essay Competition Prize for Central Africa, For the category “Youth and ICT in agriculture “  –  2012  (awarded in Addis Ababa – Ethiopia), Prix CEMAC d’Excellence for Youth Animated Radio Show in the Fight against HIV in CEMAC – 2011 (awarded in Bangui – C.A.R), Prix CEMAC d’Excellence for Youth Animated Radio Show in the Fight against HIV in CEMAC – 2010 (awarded in Congo Brazzaville), Award of Excellence for Youth Leadership by Academy Campus Forum 2010 (awarded in  Palais de Congres Yaounde – Cameroon)
