Cameroon Football Association distracts Government investigations with Match fixing claims

The disappointing and disgraceful exit of Cameroon from the ongoing FIFA World Cup has remained at the center of debates across the country following recent instructions from the country’s President Biya Paul ordering Prime Minister and head of Government Yang Philemon to established and report to him within 30days the cause of the poor performance.
While Cameroonians are still to understand why up to 30days, officials of the Cameroon's football federation(FECAFOOT) announced what has been seen as an attempt to distract government. According to the announcement there is an investigation bearing on allegations of match-fixing by seven players at the World Cup in Brazil.
Reporting the story Reuters went on to say that the allegations against Cameroon came from convicted fraudster Wilson Raj Perumal, who correctly predicted the Indomitable Lions would lose 4-0 and have a man sent off in their match against Croatia.

A BBC Sport report says that Fifa has not commented on whether it was looking into the issue or not, as the football's world governing body did not want to "compromise any possible investigations".
Cameroon lost all three Group A matches leading to their early dismissal from the tournament.

After the poor performance a good number of the players including head coach Volker Finke refused to join the official flight from Brazil to Cameroon. To some Cameroonians interviewed by Abakwa FM along the streets of Bamenda "the run away players" have "renounced" their Cameroonian nationality and should be considered foreigners.
As to whether Volker Finke will resign is not known to anyone but him.
