World No Tobacco day 2023: African Center for Advocacy takes campaign to schools

By Ngewie Azeh  The African Center for Advocacy (ACA) has visited Baptist Comprehensive High School - Nkwen, as part of the institutions' activity to commemorate this year's World No-Tobacco day.  The visit  on May 26th, 2023 gave ACA an opportunity to share with over 160 male and female students from Form 5 and Uppersixth  of both the Commercial and Grammar sections of the school on issues relating to tobacco consumption.  African Center for Advocacy delegation exchange with students  "World No-Tobacco day, we were inspired by the fact that the young  ones will soon be going to university and need to know that tobacco is bad for their health, especially in an area where everyone is allowed to as they please. For the follow up, we will continue to visit other schools subsequently and keep sensitizing them." Health: ACA Reaches out to Over 100 Girls in Bamenda

By Bakah Derick The African center For Advocacy (ACA) has reached out to 110 girls in Bamenda as part of activities to mark the 2023 edition of World Menstrual Hygiene Day (WMHD). African Center For Advocacy representatives making demonstration during meeting with girls  Meeting at Baptist Comprehensive High School Nkwen on Friday 26bMay 2023, the representatives of ACA shared with the girls drawn from mostly from form five and upper sixth in both the grammar and commercial  sections best ideas to cater for themselves during their periods.  According to representatives of the African Center for Advocacy, the commemorative activity was inspired by the growing need for young women in the crisis hit North West region to be guided and monitored on issues relating to their menstrual hygiene.  Apart from better ideas to cater for themselves during their periods, the ACA delegation also shared best practices on menstrual hygienic methods, proper disposal of used pads e
