CAEPA dong dash Bamenda III Council 250 trees for help protect water source wey e di come out for Ndza village. Na for Thursday 31st July 2025 wey dem make this announcement for inside one workshop wey de council organise with community leaders, water committee and Ndza youths.
De trees go be planted na for water catchment area for Ndza and na from dey wey Bamenda III di get their own water supply. According to CAEPA delegate, Taseh Dieudonné, this na small start for big support weh dem get for bring for Bamenda III and Cameroon as whole. E tok say water na life, and tree planting go help stop water shortage and fight climate change.
De workshop na part for Bamenda III Council e plan, with German support, for bring regular, clean and safe water to at least 90% of people dem for that municipality. First Deputy Mayor, Margaret Ndzelen, tok say dem di work with de people, not just for dem. Yi explain say before clean and distribute water, na for protect place where e di come out wen na de catchment for Ndza.
Dem invite farmers, graziers and youths from Ndza make dem sabi how for manage de catchment well so that water go di reach population steady. E thank CAEPA plenty for de 250 environment-friendly trees wey dem dash council.
Water technician Fonche Robert wey e di work with Transit Enterprise for Water Management and Hygiene, tok say e glad say council dong put Water Committee for Ndza. E say if dem elect new committee inside one week as dem plan, water go increase not just for Bamenda III but possibly Bamenda town at large. E beg make council also support dem with small funds so dem fit run things proper.
