Volleyball: North West Re-foundation league flagged off on high note

The 2024 Refoundation Valleyball League for the North West officially kicked off on Saturday, February 3,. The league president and sponsor Dr. Tachang Ayeke Pius, chaired the launching  ceremony held in Bamenda. 
The opening games of the league saw some intense competition, with Saint Paul emerging victorious over Fantastic in a thrilling match that ended 3 sets to 0. The second game of the day saw NOGE Veteran securing a solid win against Nibung with a score of 3-1.

Fans and players alike were treated to a display of skill and sportsmanship during the matches, setting the stage for what is expected to be an exciting tournament ahead. The league president, Dr. Tachang Pius, expressed his optimism for the success of the league and commended the teams for their dedication and commitment so far. After constructing a standard volleyball court for lovers of the sports in the region, Dr. Tachang Pius believes that the league will revive the love for the sports in the region while harnessing existing talents. 
The action-packed matches have set the tone for what promises to be a competitive and thrilling season of valleyball in the North West region. Fans can look forward to more exciting games as the league continues on Saturday, February 17.
Ten teams are taking part in the league that will be played across the year with the final expected to take place on December 7, 2024.
