Telecommunications: Mobile Network giant-MTN address her customers, take steps to improve services

Release: Dear MTN Cameroon customers,

I must start by saying thank you for the trust you have placed in MTN Cameroon over the years. You have trusted us to provide a critical connection for you to your families, friends, businesses and other essential services. You have honored us with your presence in various events, projects and engagements within the communities across the county. And I know, that if we are not at our best, you cannot be either.
 
Over the last couple of weeks we have listened diligently o the feedback you have provided us and we take it very seriously. We strive to be at our best, because you deserve only the best. This is why I would like to share with you, a few steps that MTN Cameroon will be taking aimed at further improving your experience with us:

1. From Thursday May 11, 2023, your unused or lost data volume in the event of network
unavailability will be refunded to you in the days following the incident. In that case, you will receive amessage specifying the volume of data considered and its validity.

2. We are accelerating implementation of our 2023 network investment plan which has already been communicated to the Telecommunications Regulatory Agency 
 (TRB) and the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications. This is in order to complete ongoing network upgrades and
give youa better quality of experience.

3. From now on, we will publish progress of our nation-wide network upgrades, area by area, and we look forward to receiving your feedback.

4. As we continue to extend our network for a greater coverage of the territory, we will publish on our digital platforms the coverage maps of our 2G, 3G and 4G networks across the country. Every time we launchanew network site, ina new area - we shall let you know too.

5. We are also going to launch in this month of May, a Consumer Advisory Council that will assist us in assessing the impact that these measures will have on the quality of your experience with us.

6. Lastly, while we acknowledge that pricing of our products has come down by over 70% over the last eight years, placing Cameroon's telecommunication prices among the most
competitive in the region; we intend on strengthening awareness campaigns highlighting the various options available at your disposal, allowing you to optimize the use ofour services.

I would like to end by reassuring you that we will always listen and do our best to improve your use of electronic communications. This is despite some important external factors, such as electricity and optical fiber supply, whose fluctuations also considerably affect your experience on our network. We will continue to seek solutions for these with the respective stakeholders.

I would have loved to speak to each of you individually, but circumstances not permiting, please accept this message as a renewal of our commitment to you.

For you, we will continue to go the extra mile.
